Nigel Prentice studied Plan II Liberal Arts Honors at the University of Texas at Austin. He has served as the Plan II Student Association President and the President of UT chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha. Nigel is a champion 2nd Degree Blackbelt in Tae Kwon Do and was a contender in the United States Junior Olympics. His protogé later competed in the 2000 Olympics in Sidney.

Innovative Travel Experience: A couple of years ago, a few close friends and I flew to Ithica, New York to visit Cornell University and experience college life in upstate New York. We weren't used to driving in the snow, so we didn't make it to the airport in time to catch our flight back home. Over the next 24 hours we transfered between several planes, flew several thousand miles and ate seemingly hundreds of stale peanuts as we criss-crossed our way back to Austin.
